If you love ordering a cannoli in your favorite Italian restaurants, you may want to try and make them at home. This pastry goes back all the way to the early 19th century in Sicily, where it was chiefly made during carnival celebrations. It didn’t really gain widespread popularity until the 1940s, when people throughout Europe began to discover it. Shortly thereafter, it became popular in the United States and a staple in Italian restaurants throughout the country.
Making cannoli takes a little bit of preparation, but you’ll probably find that the work is worth it once you have a taste of the finished product. First, you’ll need three cups of flour, four tablespoons of sugar, and a quarter-cup of soft butter. You’ll also need two tablespoons each of vinegar and ice water, some aluminum cannoli tubes, frying oil, three cups of ricotta cheese (or whatever your preferred filling may be), and one-and-a-half cups of white sugar.
Take the sugar, butter, vinegar, and ice water and put all of the ingredients in a mixing bowl. Use an electric mixer fitted with a dough attachment and set it to medium speed for about 10 minutes. You’ll need to occasionally stop and scrape the bowl to make sure the liquid is properly mixed.
Next, put some flour on a flat surface and turn out the dough. Let it sit for about 10 minutes and then roll it into a large rectangle. You’ll want to fold it and then cover its underside with about two inches of flour. You’ll also want to leave a bit of room for the filling to ooze out. Cover the rectangular portion of the dough with a large piece of plastic wrap and set it aside for about 30 minutes.
Knead the remaining dough from the previous day and set it aside, taking another bowl and using the same ingredients. Melt the butter in the bowl, add the Ricotta cheese and then add the eggs, one at a time. After this, you’ll have a bowl of egg-enriched egg couscous. Place the remaining dough in a large circle and use a sharp knife to cut it into inch-sized pieces. Set the pieces aside.
Now, heat the frying oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the pieces of garlic and onion for about four minutes, then turn and fry the rest of the ingredients for another three minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon, and season it with salt and pepper.
Set the remaining dough aside, cut out little circles from the scraps of the fried dough and set the pieces aside. Once the onion and garlic are fried for a few minutes, transfer them to a bowl, and add the remaining ingredients. Beat the egg whites until stiff and add them to the mixture. Add a little more butter to the mixture and taste. Flavored with salt and pepper, your Vegetable Crock Pot Can now become a delicious accompaniment to your Italian supper.
Sub mixed vegetables – this is a good one to make with kids because they will be happy to eat strawberries, blackberries and blueberries.
You can keep the pudding going by adding a little chocolate or orange sauce. When the children smell chocolate, they will be more open to taste it.

French Bread Omelet with honey
A popular breakfast recipe, this is a French bread omelet cooked with tomato sauce and butter.
Use a French bread that you already have and break both breads open. Mix the tomato sauce and butter together. Place the omelet on a plate and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
Cook in the oven for about 20 minutes at 350 degrees. You can test for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center of the omelet. It should come out right before the sides of the omelet.
Here is an idea for an accompaniment to this omelet: slice a pound of French bread and use it to cut the top off of a jelly bean being custom printed. Squirt as much strawberry jelly as you want on the bread. Bake the bread at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes.
